He Cooks, She Eats

The Friendship group gets together on a somewhat regular basis.  One of the gatherings is the He Cooks, She Eats event at the Caldwell's.  Tom has a couple of BBQ pits going with quail, brisket, chicken, sausages and what ever else he can find that he has killed.  It's usually held in the spring so it's usually a lovely evening and we hang out side, visit and eat.

 I forget the dogs name but he was so cute when he begged.  Very well mannered.

 Lavoy retired 7/13 (I believe).  He looks like he is practicing how to relax.

 It's hard to catch people without food in their mouths at this event.  We are always snacking on something.

 This was Theron's first outing after having heart surgery.  He looks marvelous.

 I wonder what Theron and Margie were looking at and discussing?

 Lavoy practicing relaxing again.  I think he will be just fie living the retired life.

 This is a sweet couple that are friends of Geree and Shell. They were in town so they brought with them along. 

 Another successful event and lovely evening with friends.

 

Mollie visit in May

I hope someone is still looking at this blog.  It's been so long since I've blogged and a lot has happened in 2 months.

So this is a short and sweet posting.  It's seldom that I get to see Mollie anymore and I miss her so.  She and  Rod came to town for a quick visit to see the kids and we grabbed them for lunch.  It was supper special.

After church we typically go for breakfast, lunch or brunch.  BJ's was our destination on this day.

 I love love these women.

 After lunch we took Rod and Mollie over to see Susan and John's new home.

Introducing Dr. Sammual Butler Webb

A couple of weeks ago we traveled to Johnson City, TN for Sam's graduation from Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. 

What a joy this was for us to be part of the celebration and accomplishment for Sam, Betty Merrill and Bonnie.

 Sam is such a humble person so therefore we had no idea that almost each time they announced an award....Sam stood.  So very proud.
