Pierce, Anna, Bailey and Asher

Julie has a friend that is a professional photographer who is exceptional at their work.  Julie took the opportunity to have a photo shoot of the four while they were together for the 24 hour visit in Houston.
 Break time.

 I think someone's in heaven.
 And that's a wrap!

WP - July 2014

For the past few years we have enjoyed Winter Park in the summer time as well as the winter.  We usually go in July or September and it's always a welcome trip to get out of the Texas heat.  The days are typically warm and the evenings cool.  Great for hiking and dinning outdoors.
We always have to make a trip to the top of Mary Jane and visit George.  We reminisce about some of our favorite memories, say a prayer and thank him for being part of our lives.

The flowers are so beautiful in the mountains during the summer.  I guess it's because of the warm days and cools nights but I'm always amazed just how beautiful they are.  So here are a few of my favorites.....thanks babe for taking the time to take the pictures.

It's also weird to see the base without snow and people.

Until next year...I hope

Bastile Day - July 2014

Of course KW is interested in this special day....it has to do with wine but I would never had guess he would have embraced the day with such gusto.  That's not necessarily true as KW embraces everything with a passion and gusto.  One of the many traits I admire in him.

Julie all dolled up and looking beautiful as always.  The funny thing to me is that she was probably hanging out in the pool just a few hours before this picture was taken.  She transforms so quickly.
I'm sure there is a name for this costume other than over the top.  She certainly wears it well and looks stunning.

I'm sure there were stories to go with the attire and evening, we just weren't privy to those.  Thanks for sharing the photos of another fun evening for you two.

Houston Weekend with Blake, Camille and the Boys

Camille, Blake, Pierce and Asher finally returned from overseas.  They have been living in Singapore and Korea for the last 6 years.  It's been wonderful to visit them, sad to miss them and happy they are home.  Again, so much fun a so few pictures of our weekend together.
Pierce has always had the gift of entertaining.  He put on a great dance show (Unfortunately, I can't down load the entire video) but it was very entertaining.  KW was just as entertaining as his DJ.
Sometimes the DJ needs direction.
Lauren and John can for dinner and the show.
Asher's birthday was around the corner so he was learning how to say two with one finger.  So cute so who cares how old he is.
Camille and Blake looked for homes during the two weeks Blake was home and found a lovely home.
They are going to have to get accustom to space.  They have lived in high rise condos for the last few year.
Pierce has his spacious bedroom that looks just like him.
While in Houston, Pierce got to participate in the "Bee" thing and Juju's and KW.  We keep telling them we are just fine with the wine.

Now sure who is having the most fun here but I'm pretty sure it's Juju.

Little Girls Weekend

Keith and Elysse went to their cousin Greg's wedding and we had the joy of having Anna and Baily for the weekend.  I started planning all the things we could do during the weekend and again learned the lesson to let the weekend unfold.  Love it when that happens because as it turned out, we had a so much fun.  The down side to keeping the grandkids is that I typically don't get many pictures as I'm on the move.  Here are a few from our outing at Grisham Farms.
They had a petting zoo where you could feed some of the animals.

A few toys for the smaller kids.
In the barn, they brought out several animals for show and tell.  I was impressed that Anna wanted to touch them.

Who needs animals when you have a sand box filled with toys?

Another fun filled weekend with the girls.

Austin Spa

Hal gave me a gift certificate for my birthday in 2013 to Travaasa Spa in Austin.  I thought I would re-gift and give it to him for Father's Day.  It was a wonderful weekend.

One of the joys of the weekend was that we had dinner with a few friends from Highland Lakes Software (HLS), where I use to work in Austin.  We met at Iguana Grill.  One of our favorite places to have lunch.
Steven and me.  I love this man!

Annie and Charlie, PJ, Kathy and Jim, Leslie and Steve, Jim and Jan and Beth and Steven.  We missed all those who couldn't make.
Iguana Grill still has a beautiful view of sunsets, not so much for Lake Travis.  The lake so needs water.

I'm sure this was a very deep conversation.  Jim and Jan are building a home on their property in Blanco.  Leslie, always listening.
Two of the funniest people I know.  Kathy cracks me up....all the time.  She pretty much says EVERYTHING she thinks.
PJ was our rock of the company.  I really don't know how she stood us must of the time.  We were terrible.
Steve and Leslie started their own brewery, Solid Rock.  Check out their beer when you are in Austin.
Annie and Charlie...what can I say but these two are such an example of love.
This sums up our SPA time.  It was so relaxing.  Thanks babe for the gift.  Hope you enjoyed yours as much as I did.
