Happy New Year 2016!

The last few years we have had the joy of being entertained by Anna and Bailey and soon Spencer.  Oh my!
Pawpaw/Grandpa and I get our game on early in preparation for the evening.  All this means is having plenty of options of things to do.
Anna arrived in her new "outfit" with jewelry and fingernails polish.  What else would you expect.
Anna and Bailey were here for 2 minutes before they had Pawpaw on the floor playing Princess Candy Land.
Party favors are out and we are ready to get the night started.
It was a little more difficult than I anticipated getting everyone all decked out.

 I think we are ready!
John and Susan are such dear friends.  The  last couple of years they have joined us to bring in the new year.  I'm not so sure John signed up for this activity but he is a great sport!

Susan brings her creativity and builds ginger bread houses with Anna.  I buy....they build!
Wishing you a very Healthy, Happy, Joyful 2016!

More & More of Christmas 2015

With all the pictures from our phones, other cameras, etc.  I keep finding more memorable pictures of Christmas!

Enjoy!!  The New Year is around the corner.

I can't wait to hear what this sweet boy has to say one day.  With his two sisters.....
We found some Legos from 1998 in a garage sale.  Pierce can put these together faster than I can get them out of the closet.  This one is exceptional because after you build it...you can play with it.
Our dear friend Jerry hung out in the barn while Kathy was taking our family photo.  On this day in Texas it was very warm.  We had the AC on inside while he was waiting in the heat.
Pierce got a gun for Christmas.  I wonder what is going on in his mind.
Every new Denton baby has a new "Aggie" outfit.
Asher is such a "people person".  His sweet spirit just wins our hearts and those around him.
Chris and Melissa were winding down their time with us.  I was getting teary eyed.
What do you say other than....So Anna
How life changes with kids.

More of Christmas 2015

Garnet Hill sponsored a Christmas social hour for the residents and families.  Anna and Baily enjoy visiting Great Pawpaw.
Sheri and Darrell were there with us.  They have been such a huge support to our dad.  Don't know what I would do without them.
They brought Brenda, their niece, who is just adorable.
Chris, Melissa and Logan arrived the weekend before Christmas.  We were soooo excited to see them.  We soon learned that Logan was not feeling his best.  My heart ached for him but as soon as he got some antibiotics and time he was beginning to feel like himself.  His daddy on the other hand never really felt well the entire time he was here.
We all spent a lot of time on the sofa watching Thomas The Train.  You can see in his eyes Logan doesn't feel very well.
 Just give me my momma.
 Drugs are kicking in.
A day later and we are feeling so much better.
Christmas day my family came to celebrate Christmas with us.  It's been years since we have all been together.  My sweet sister and Robert.
Robert and Gramps, Grandpa, Great Pawpaw.  A sweet man of many names.
 Merry Christmas
We had a beautiful Christmas day so decided to have our lunch on the patio.

Christmas 2015

So much has occurred since I last posted.  I hope to get back in the swing of posting this year as this will be our first year of retirement and we are looking forward to how we spend our time.

I thought I would kick off the new year with Christmas with our kids and grand kids.  What better way to start back with blogging since our kids and grand kids are the highlight of our lives.

We were thrilled when everyone said they could be in Dallas for a few hours together. They we even more thrilled to learn we would have a family picture.  Our dear friend Kathy, with the assistance of John and Susan, took our family picture.  Just to think that 10 minutes before this picture was taken, Asher and Bailey were in their beds, Chris and Melissa had just arrived with a sick sleepy Logan.  But I think we all clean up nicely and look just fine here!
If I had a favorite....this would be it.  Each of these sweet kids bring so much joy to my life.
We had a surprise for EVERYONE!
This is our surprise look when Santa walked through the front door.

Our dear friend Jerry suited up as SANTA and came to visit and brought toys for everyone.  Spencer is too young to know to be afraid of Santa so in his typical spirit...goes with the flow.
Logan still wasn't feeling well and was very attached to mom.
Bailey was petrified of Santa and didn't want anything to do with him.  She did say maybe next year.
These three were all over Santa and loved every minute.  Asher followed Santa out the door wanting to know where his car was....hahaha.  Anna will love this picture one day in her later years.  Pierce was Santa's helper.
Patiently waiting for Santa to distribute the gifts.
 The fun has begun.
Hard to tell what gifts have and haven't been opened.
Asher was thrilled with all his gifts and wanted to share his excitement with KW.
Anna got a Little Pony jacket and pony. She was beside herself.
The big kids enjoyed playing with the younger kids toys.  Boys will be boys!
Anna playing with GP's remote car.
Elysse feeding Spencer holding her first pow-pow.  That house hold will certainly change.
 Another wonder Christmas blessing!
Wishing you a Happy New Year from our home to yours.
