HOB Saturday Night

A week ago Saturday night we went to House of Blues (HOB) to hear Mingo Fishtrap and had a blast.  While there we saw where two of our favorite blues/jazz guys were performing this Saturday.  The show was pretty much sold out, but Hal was able to get us tickets.  OMG.....the concert was the best.  We ate at the Naga Thai Kitchen restaurant before the concert.  Our seats were fabulous and the music and performance were outstanding.  If any of you, who like music, have the opportunity to see and hear Jonathan Butler or Dave Koz, it's worth your time and money.

Visit with the Kearns

One of the many joys of Cursillo is meeting wonderful people and continuing that friendship no matter where you are located. Our dear friends Jeff and Donna Kearns were in Dallas, because of Jeff's surgery. We have heard about their kids for many years and it was great to finally meet them. What a sweet family. Missing were their daughter-in-law and the grandkids….next time and a different place we hope and pray.

You could hear us from way down the hall.  You would have thought there was a party going on and there was.  A celebration for Jeff coming through surgery so well and looking so great, thank you God!
We circled up in prayer and left just as quickly as we arrived, leaving the Kearns kids to worder....Who are those people.    Great way to spend a Friday evening.

Relaxing Friday Night

Friday night we had a pool party and it was so relaxing. It was the first time in a while that we didn’t have tasks before us, major decisions to make and thoughts heavy on our minds and hearts.
A great way to end a work week

Mingo Fishtrap at HOB

The kids gave Hal tickets to House of Blues to hear Mingo Fishtrap for his birthday, so last night was the night and we had a blast. We met Shelly and Greg at Si Tapas restaurant before the concert. What a neat place downtown and the food was fabulous. We had never been to HOB and already plan on going back next Saturday night to hear a couple of our favorite blues/jazz guys. Thanks kids for the gift and Greg and Shelly for going with us!

Enfora at the Denton's

Last night we had the joy of hosting dinner for some of the folks that work with Hal. I have heard the names of each and it was so nice to put a face and "personality" to the name. They represent operations in China, UK, South America, California, Pennsylvania and Texas.  I truly hope we get to have them all over again.....maybe in the fall when it's not 99 outside. Thank you to each of you for making last night very special for Hal and me.

Wynne will not be "in charge" of photos next time...

Litton Wedding

Karen and Jeremy’s wedding ceremony was so beautiful. The Priest shared how a marriage should be, with a joke or two, and with some Catholic traditional rituals. After the ceremony we ate, drank and partied till midnight. The wedding started at 3:00pm!

Litton Rehersal Dinner party

Hal and I were invited to Jeremy and Karen's wedding in Lubbock.  What a great weekend with friends and I just love weddings.  We met people we have heard Rod and Mollie talk about for years.  To us, the guest, everything turned out just beautiful. On our way to Rehersal Dinner party....let the parting begin!

The Rehersal Dinner party was held at the Merket Alumni Center on the Texas Tech campus. This was the first event held in this building. They had just finished laying the carpet on Thursday. It was beautiful.

Fun Thursday

Tonight we celebrated Singapore style in Allen TX. Blake and Camille enjoy going to the Gold Class Cinema in Singapore....they just opened a location in the new Village shopping center in Allen so we had to try it ourselves. First of all, when you walk in and take the escalator upstairs you are warmly greeted by some very cute (Hal never noticed) girls. No popcorn smell, no craziness. Once you get your ticket you are escorted to the lounge where your wait person appears to take your drink order. This gives you time to preview the dinner menu. Once the theater is open, your wait person takes your order and directs you to the theater. There are 40 seats in each theater. The seats recline, you have a place to stuff your shoes/purse before you get comfy with your pillow and blanket and a button to call your wait person…..just like home! It really was a Fun Thursday and I totally owe Hal for going to the biggest chic flick ever....Sex and the City 2...love you babe!   Hal in the lounge and ladies the restrooms are beautiful with fresh cut flower arrangements.
Life is Good!
If KW can get over the orange I think we are taking him here....
