Happy Birthday Dad

Tomorrow is dad's 86 birthday!  We love you dad.  You are the most loving and caring dad we could ever ask for.  You loved us no matter what.  You engouraged us beyond our own dreams.  We love you with all our hearts...
Today we had the joy of celebrating our dad's birthday.  Dad you are such an incredible joy to be with and an inspiration to us, your kids.
What a sweet spirit

Father and son

Craig, Loretta, dad and me.  I love each of you with all my heart!

Jesus All For Jesus

Last Sunday was an amazing day.  We started the day with our worship service lead by Robin Mark...WOW!  As part of our service Samuel Cheng was baptized.  What a beautiful baby he is with truly beautify parents, Albert and Tavey.
Robin and the band....incredible music.

Ellen, Mollie, Emily, David and Tom

Ellen is such an intricate part of Robin's music and she plays the flute well.

Robin Mark
Sarah on keyboards and vocals.

David on drums
Robin and the band

Emily, she is such a joy to just watch her sing and praise God, not to mention her beautiful voice.
We met David at Cursillo and he has a love for our Lord.
And there is Mollie.  Just watching Mollie sing is a joy in its self.  She has that smile that tells you....I'm loving what I'm doing right now!

And then there is Tom...incredible musician and song writer.
When it's all said and done....did I do my best?  I pray with Gods grace the answer is yes.

Friday night GNO & Special Guest

Friday night the Boot Camp girls got together.  Only Amanda is hanging in there w/the program these days but we all miss each other.  The evening was so much fun, just talking and laughing. Our next get together will be October 16th and we're having a baby shower for Jennifer.  Can't wait to find out if the theme will be pink or blue.
Later that same evening Hal and I hosted some of the band members playing w/Robin Mark.  What a wonderful way to wrap up the evening, just hanging out with some very nice people.

I thought this picture was so sweet. Chelsea moved closer to Tom, I'm sure to tell him something very worthy.Just a sweet father/daughter moment.

Happy Annisersary Kathy & Jerry

Last night we celebrated Kathy & Jerry's 34th wedding anniversary.
They were so sweet to invite us to share the evening with them.  This week is also Restaurant Week so we decided to try Jasper's at the Shop's of Legacy.
After dinner we took a stroll and found a street band that had a really good beat, they were from Hawaii.

Here is a little girl just playing away. Look at that sweet face.

The evening was quite nice so we decided to take a few pics.  These dear friends each hold a special place in Hal and my life and we are blessed to call them friends.

Kendell's Baby Shower

This past weekend we headed to Houston to see some of the family and attend Kendell's baby shower.  She is due in six weeks and looks as cute as can be. (me, Kendell, Julie, Lauren & Camille)

I had the opportunity to meet Kendell's mom, Roxann.  You can certainly see the mother/daughter resemblances.

We have enjoyed every moment of having Camille here with us.  She and Pierce head back to Singapore in a few weeks to join Blake.  They have signed up for another stint in Singapore for a couple of years.

Julie made this centerpiece which is made of pampers and makes a lovely decoration
Great idea girls....
After the shower and nap of course, we headed to the pool to cool off.  Who's the kid in the pic?
KW worked on his cannon balls.  Pierce saw this one coming.
ONE
TWO
THREE

We were treated to some very nice wine w/our meals.
Yum Yum wine will have a new name come this fall, Tradition, along w/a label.  I remember the night we named it Yum Yum.  A night a few of us will forever remember.....

Sunday we worshiped at Tallowood w/KW, Julie and Lauren.  Pierce was telling us all goodbye and being very sweet.

Blake, Camille & Pierce visit take 2

Friday night we met at Keith & Elysse's for dinner and  fun!  Pierce is very fortunate to have K&E in his life.  They are the very best!  They have dogs, indoor golf, soccor balls, footballs (go figure) and any other kinda of sports balls. Pierce has already learned who the Go To people are in his life.

Pierce came prepared w/his bug zapping / vacuum machine and carrier.  All we (adults) had to do is find the bugs!  Should be easy in Texas right?  Well, not so easy in August when the temps are over 100.  Even the bugs go in search of relief from the heat and that means deep into the soil.  Mommy was the hero find a gecko that soon gave up trying to get away.

Susan and John stopped by for a visit.  You are wondering why are we sitting outside w/temps over 100?
Because Pierce wanted to show us his findings and wanted us to be w/him....outside.
This flower bed used to have caladiums now it doesn't.  They gave way to the worm search.

Kitty tried to find refuge in all places even way up on the ledge on the 2nd floor. She plays hard to get.

Sunday we attended Keith & Elysse's church, Heights Baptist, and the music rock!
This is a statue in a garden area at the church and was so hot from the sun you could not even touch it.

Weekend in Shreveport

This past weekend we went to Shreveport to see Sonny w/Rod, Mollie and Liz.  We always have a great time there.  The first thing we do upon arrival is get something to drink and head for the sun porch to chill.
What a view to look at everyday
We have heard about Herby K's for years.  How the owner was killed and they never found the killer, don't slow down in the neighborhood, best food ever, etc.  We not even slowed down but parked, after we saw the policeman.  The food was good and the atmosphere entertaining.  When we walked out of the restaurant, there was a Bentley, Mercedes, Lexus and a pick up truck.  Get the visual image of the place now.....

The night is still young, for some of us, so we head to the boats, Horseshoe Casino.  Thank goodness we decided not to valet park as we were only in there for 15 minutes.  I think they had security all around us.  Here are 6 people walking into the casino not knowing anything about what to do.  We looked very suspicious. Took 6 of us to figure out where and how to throw away $10 and what button to push.
Not my favorite.......

See what I mean about not knowing what to do?
Saturday was our afternoon out on the boat.
How can one person look so cute going out on the boat?

Our captain....Sonny
Off to dinner at a wonderful Italian resturant, Monjunis

After dinner we headed downtown Shreveport to Noble Savage Tavern

Sonny's son, Lane, was playing drums with some friends and the Rock N' Roll was good.

Sony and Lane's wife, Susan
A wonderful weekend with some very dear friends.
Life is Grand!
