Christmas 2013

Christmas was a little different for us this year.  We didn't put up a tree.  We didn't send Christmas cards.  I'm amazed we had gifts for everyone to open.  We asked the kids to donate to a charity of their choosing instead of our typical gift exchange. Bailey wasn't so sure about all the activity but she is such an easy going girl.  She reminds me of her mom.

Anna was a great Santa helper this year.  She would go get the gifts from under the tree, deliver them to you and them open them for you.

Bailey was getting an understanding of the process.

Does she not have the biggest blue eyes you've ever seen?  And they just sparkle.

Little girls always want to walk in daddy's shoes.
Anna just cracks me up these days.  She is so dramatic when she goes into pout mode.
Our Asian family spent Christmas in Korea.  We missed having them home.

Vivi and granddad sends 28 days of Christmas so we always know the boys have many gifts at Christmas.  I thought this was supper sweet of Asher.
Love you guys and miss you so.
KW and Julie are always so busy during the holidays with events and special parties.  We have to catch up with them before November or after January.  They are in our  hearts always.  They remind you what the spirit of Christmas is all about.
Love our friends that share our joy for our grand kids.  Mary and Harry are the best!
We went to Atlanta for Christmas and welcomed Logan home.  The best gift I could ever ask for.  This was grandpa's first time to meet Logan.

Grandpa and Logan look pretty happy here.
I love this picture.  Chris and Melissa are loving the gift they have been given.
I'm speechless how this touches my heart.
Melissa, her mom (Trish) and Grandmother (June).  We had a lovely Christmas dinner and day.
You think she loves this boy much???
Proud moms, grandmas and great mothers.
Melissa's grandpa, Mark.  Hal loved talking with him.  He has some very interesting stories about his military times of service.
Logan is one loved and lucky little boy.
And I'm one very proud mother and grandma!

Merry Christmas Melissa and Chris.  God has given you a gift of life.

 I love you sweet boy.

Play Dates and Sleep Overs

One of the many joys I have had the past few months of working from home are taking advantage of lunch time play dates with Anna and Bailey.  Here are just a few pictures of those special times. There is a park at the end of our street.  Another reason we love our new home.

These pictures of Bailey are three months old.  She is now on the verge of walking and has a mouth full of teeth.

Keith and Elysse went to Houston for the weekend and we had both girls.  Too much going on to take time for pictures other than getting ready for bed.

Beaujolais 2013

You know when you receive your Save The Date card for this event that the holidays are approaching and what a way to start.

Just like the previous years, the evening was delightful.  I got right in the spirit of the evening this year and didn't take many pictures.  But I can tell you, the food, friends and fellowship was awesome!
And just like previous years we used the same table decorations for the Ladies Holiday Dinner at church.  Everyone was so envious because it took us (thanks babe for helping) about an hour to set up.

Liz is giving us the background on this years wine.

Halloween 2013

I love Halloween.

I love to answer the door and see all the kids and their parents.  Of course I don't have a clue who the kids are since they are all dressed up.  Doesn't matter, it seems to be a special day the kids can be someone else and the world thinks it's OK.  When we were in Korea visiting, Pierce was going through the decision process of who/what he wanted to be for Halloween.  Good choice Pierce!
Pierce was our Clone
 Asher the pumpkin.
I forget what I had going on Halloween that Grandpa got to participate in the Halloween fun with Anna and Bailey and I didn't but happy he took pictures.

And our sweet Logan was still in NICU.  Next year is your year to shine bud!
