Korea - Grand Park

There is a park in Ulsan that is awesome and amazing.  It is huge and no one was there.  Therefore not all the exhibits were open but enough to keep us entertained.  Pierce got to take his scooter.  Because no one was there, he could ride anywhere he wanted and we didn't have to be concerned about loosing him or someone running into him.  Free ride in the park on a beautiful day....just doesn't get any better.
They have all types of areas for you to explore.
Pierce wasn't too happy about all the photo shoots.
Grandpa got stroller duty and loved every moment.  Who wouldn't with that happy boy.
Can you see in the background that the park was empty.  It was kinda surreal.
It's not often that I get a picture with Camille.  Either she or I are the ones taking pictures but loved this opportunity.
We found a butterfly exhibit.  Butterflies have a special meaning to our families.  They remind us of Sara May and Cursillo.  Both life changing experiences.
I thought this was a sweet moment captured.  We were on the other side from Pierce of this little rain fall.
What's after the cute and beautiful butterflies?  Iguanas.  The perfect combination for a boy.
Pierce takes everything in.  He studies the information and tells us all about it.
Found these yucky beetles.  Camille just picks them up...YUK!  Pierce tried and tried.
 Success!
 And then.....
I thought this might be a good Christmas card picture if only I sent cards this year.  Not happening.
Camille and Pierce climbed up this rock wall.  I wanted to but someone had to take the pictures...hahaha.
And then we found this slide.  What you don't see is that you are sitting / rolling down on rollers.  Not too bad until you get off and you have this tingling feeling.
 Pierce loved every moment.
This may have been his best adventure of the day.

Pierce even got grandpa to go down the slide.
Our last sightseeing exhibit was the War Museum.  Again, the exhibit was amazing.

Camille was very patient trying to get this picture of the South Korea flag.

Just another fun filled day in the life of our Asians living in South Korea!  Love the experiences.

Korea Trip - First Weekend

I am way behind on blogging and must get this special trip posted as GP and I had the best time.

One of the joys of Camille, Blake and the boys living abroad is that we travel to places we typically would not.....South Korea.  They always immerse themselves into the culture of the country were they live so when we visit we are very busy.
I don't know how Blake and Camille do it....they have very busy lives separately and with a family and yet they seem to balance them well.
When we arrived in Korea in August, after B&C being in the state for weeks, one of Blake's ships was being commissioned.  In Singapore they just set it free, in Korea they do it in style.  They have a  very formal ceremony with white glove and all the special touches.  We had the joy of having some special time with the boys while they attended the festivities.  I just love this picture of Blake and Asher.
So grown up and beautiful and a gift to us!
One morning I caught GP and Pierce building something.  Love these moments.
We took a few things with us and one of them was a 3-D puzzle.  Pierce can put one of these together in a matter of moments.  He has the most amazing logic for a 6 year old.  But then he stated this very early.  I love this sweet smile.

Mom and dad arrive home from their evening away, we are having some cabin fever so go for a hike.  Korea has some awesome hiking adventures.

 The scenery is beautiful.
Asher is just one happy boy.
I just love this picture of Pierce.  Don't you just want to squeeze him?

We tried to do some family photos but we were all so hot and sweaty.

We took a stroll along the beach and found this jelly fish.  It was totally amazing.
After our hike and stroll we found a wonderful place for dinner.
Men we love.
After dinner we went to the top of the condo and took a few photos.  They have such a view.

Stay tune for more adventures.  As you can imagine there are cute pictures of the boys and beautiful scenery...and yes mom and dad sometimes!

Grandma's First Visit with Logan

This past weekend I got to see, hold, kiss and love on,  Logan.  It was my first time to meet him and oh so special.  I think sometime we take for granted the wonders of God's creation of life. It's such a miracle,  thus the 42 weeks, or 37 full term, etc. So when you have a sweet little boy arrive early (31 weeks) things are a little different.  Instead of our miracle progressing in the womb, he is here in NICU.
Chris arrived from Houston just in time for Logan's 8:00 pm evening snack.  My hands have never been so clean.
Logan is being introduced to the pacifier in preparation for his bottle feeding.  He is doing so well.  Those sweet eyes make my heart melt.
I could have sat there all day and just watched him.
Mel was so sweet to let Chris and I go in together for the feeding.  Afterwards we changed his clothes, etc.  Chris is really good with Logan, changing his diaper and clothes.  Mom did come in an double check us and it was a good thing.  Had a few too many wires inside his jammies.
Now this in mother / son bonding.  Melissa is so good with Logan.  He is already tracking her voice.
 Getting ready for nite nite.
We saw Logan twice on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
He really does love his foggier pacifier.  Cara certainly knew all the things Logan would love.
Those sweet little hands.  So special when he grabs hold of yours.
 I love this little boy!
See you soon Logie Bear
