Arboretum Night Out

I just love the Arboretum gardens.  And this time of the year they line the pathways with pumpkins of all size, shape and color.  The Friendship Group had a evening at the Arboretum last Thursday night.  Hal and I had already planned on going so it worked out perfect.  The last time we were there during the summer we had table envy....so we purchased a table and now others have table envy and want us to cater their event.

There was a nice breeze this evening...thus the bad hair.  Lovely evening.

Game Day, A&M

Saturday morning we usually ride our bikes to Cindi's for breakfast and meet up with John & Susan.  This Saturday, we had several errands to run and the weather was so beautiful we decided to run errands with the top down.  There is a new restaurant that opened up near John and Susan's so we decided to meet there.  They walked and met us.  I really love the Coffee House and hope the work out all the kinks.  Afterwards we ran our errands and then stopped by to visit dad and Elizabeth and took them A&M shirts to wear during the A&M vs Oklahoma State.  They wore them proudly.  Unfortunately A&M forgot to play the 2nd half and we lost....
Oh well Georgia Tech won...

Happy Birthday Keith

Last Friday Keith turned 31....Happy Birthday Keith!
We decided to serve ribs for dinner and asked Rod if he would make his world famous ribs....he said YES!
Rod and Mollie sold there house in Plano so our time here with them is limited.  We invited our friends over to help us celebrate.  They all wanted to know if Anna was coming before they RSVP'd.
The weather has been so nice as compared to our summer and I was so looking forward to hanging outside, grilling and chilling.
They look more and more alike.

I took some really good pictures with Anna, but this is one of my favorites!  She had some really cute skinny jeans on....so cute.
Anna and Grandpa are always so relaxed.  Reminds me when Pierce was a baby.  GP seemed to have a magic touch with him.
 Oh, I forgot, it's Keith's birthday!
Now this is one of my favorite pictures with Anna.
Happy Birthday Keith and many many more.

Game Day Weekend 2011

I just love Labor Day weekend, for many reasons.  Other than the many birthday celebrations, is means college football, pro football, the hope for cooler weather, outside dinning and BBQ.  Well this Labor Day did not disappoint me one bit.  Chris and Melissa went to the Georgia Tech / Western Carolina home game and they won 63 to 23.
Saturday night we grilled out and watched LSU/Oregon game, 40 to 27.

Anna traveled to Houston / College Station for the A&M/SMU game, 46 to 14.  Aunt JuJu wore Anna out.
While we were out driving around with the top down, which was heavenly, we saw a train carrying many cars of army trucks and had to stop to take a picture for Pierce.  The train went on for miles.
We received a sweet picture of Darby McCamy and his daughter Lillie at her first Auburn/Utah State, 42 to 38.
When Keith & Elysse returned home from College Station we met them and John and Susan for dinner at our favorite place with a great patio, Casa Milagro.  Anna was such a trooper, she hung out with us for 3 1/2 hours.

Great Labor Day weekend.  Very thankful for the cool weather.

Happy Birthday Chris

For me, as a parent, Labor Day has always meant birthday parties.  My dad's birthday is August 29 (87 this year!), Chris's dad is Augusst 26th (60 this year) and Chris, September 4th!  I always thought how appropriate to have a child on "Labor Day".  What a joy this child has brought to my life!
Happy Birthday Chris

I love you with all my heart and soul!

Going to Switzerland and Provence

We have a group of very dear friends that travel together typically every 2 years. Our joy is planning our trips over the two years. Last night met we to plan our 2012 travel. Each couple brought their ideas and list of places they want to see. We are all Presbyterian, so we voted....and while we have many places we want to travel to, we decided our next trip is to Switzerland and Provence France. We plan to start in Switzerland and end up relaxing at a villa in Provence....sweet! You could just see Liz thinking of all the places we need to go and see. We are so fortunate to have her love of travel and help us plan. Plus she and George have been to almost all of the places we want to go

My dream is to have a lavender farm.  I have always thought it would be in the hill country of Texas....but I could go to Provence France.

If anyone has suggestions of places we should see, please let me know.  Can' t wait for the next meeting.
