GNO

Many years ago when I worked for Sprint I met a group of people that helped me make it through a very difficult time and they remain very dear to me.
Tracy, Shelly and I have so many memories....more like stories.  We have seen each other through the good, bad and ugly times. Eddie, Shelly's sister, who lives in our neighborhood joined us.
I love these girls for their friendship and for who they are.  They are incredible women!
I am blessed by their friendship!
The other evening we saw the play "Dallas The Second City" at the Wylie Theater downtown.  It was hilarious!  Thanks Shell for getting us together.

Soap Box Derby

Last weekend Red Bull had their annual Soap Box Derby race.  Fortunately for us we had an "IN" to the best parking as there were a bazillion people there.  It was one of our first beautiful hint of fall in the air weekends and everyone was out to soak it all in.  Fortunately we had Anna to take with us.  She is quite the people person and loves activity so this was perfect for her and for us!
One of Hal's coworkers (Fran) lives in the apartment complex where the race was taking place and he was out of town.  We had the garage door opener, key to the house and access to the toilet.  It was great.
Here are just a few of the friends we found there.

We saw several interesting people dress up in costume.  There were many interesting people period.  A great day for people watching.
Grandpa, Grandma and Anna just taking it all in.
We couldn't get real close to see the cars but there were huge screens set up for us to watch.
We stopped by John and Susan's on the way home.  Susan found a few toys for Anna to play with.  Anna felt very much at home in this house mom and dad.....you might want to consider it.

We then made another stop at Casa Milagra for dinner.  Didn't get any pictures of this stop however, we were on the patio and Anna would find flower petals on the ground and take them to the whoever was close to here.  She was a big hit.
One of her new favorite things to do is open the box that contains all her kitchen stuff and just dump it.  We haven't gotten to the point of putting it back yet.

Another fun weekend with Anna.  Thanks mom and dad.

Janalee Turns Two

We had another birthday celebration in the family.  It's so much more fun to celebrate the little ones birthday than ours.....just saying...
Last weekend Janalee turned two and can't believe it.  Blake and Kendell recently moved to Austin (our most favorite place in Texas!) so Julie and KW made the trip and took some pictures to share.
I can almost imagine hearing the conversation that went along with each picture.
Enjoy the moments!
There was a little pre-party planning that took place.  Need a little sugar to get the party going.
 Princess of the day.
Looks like she received just a few toys to play with.
Mom and dad watching her devour her cup cake...yum.
Looks like Janalee is considering sharing with Julie and KW.
I just love this picture of father and son.
Another successful birthday celebration!!  Congratulations Janalee, Kendell and Blake.

Asher John Denton

After a very long hiatus of posting, I have some exciting news to share.  The arrival of Asher John Denton.  Born in Ulsan, South Korea on August 4, 2012 at 921 am, weighing 8 lbs. and 8 oz, 20.3 inches long.

I think this picture is priceless of Pierce and Asher.  Pierce is such a loving little boy, not so little anymore but still very loving.

 Family of four.
