Pierce the 9 year old

I hope to blog about each of our grand kids this year as they celebrate their birthdays.
Pierce is our first (grandchild) and to celebrate his birthday his birthday in 2016.

I honestly can't believe he is 9 years old.  He left for Spingapore when he was 16months.
Thankfully Camille blogged so we could see all the changes.

Pierce and Tyson, one of his good friends.
And then there is always "brother".
We all know that one of Pierce's favorite resturants is Benihana. He loves his sushi.
 Mom, dad, Asher and Pierce.

Most kids would go to Toys R Us with their birthday money....not Pierce.
Love that boy!
We gave Pierce a Lego something that he said he wanted for Christmas.  Wanted to give Pierce something special for his birthday since it is January 4th. By the time Vivi and Grand Dad give the boys 25 days of Christmas and then all of the Christmas gifts from the family the early birthdays get forgotten.
Happy 9th Birthday sweet, loving thoughtful, very intelligent Pierce.
We love you!

First Concert for 2016

Our theme for 2016 is "Live Life Fully with Family and Friends, Activity and Entertainment".

With that said, our first concert in 2016 was Robert Earl Kean (It was really 12/27).  Hal and I both love the laid back sound and story telling of Robert Kean.  We have spent many hours in Austin on either the front or back porch (depending on which house) listening to our music and enjoying the evening.
When we learned he would be in Dallas we booked him!

We must get better at documenting our outings.  We had a blast and it was a great way to begin the New Year with our new theme.

Year 2015

As I look at pictures for 2016 I realize there are so many from 2015 that touch my heart.
So before I begin 2016, here are just a VERY few from 2015!

The pictures are not in any order...sorry.  The blog going forward will help me keep life events in order, which I so need.
We started 2015 with a family vacation to Breckenridge.  The joy of our lives!
My how they changed in a year.
Chris, Melissa and Logan came to visit during the summer.  One of Logan's doctors is here in Dallas and we are thrilled!
Anna had her first dance recital.  Loved it!
Granny Camp 2015!  We had Pierce and Anna last year.  We had a blast non stop for 3 days.

 Success!!!!
Our dear friends support us through LIFE!  Chris and Melissa gave us a Seal A Meal so one evening when we were together we had a Seal A Meal training session.
Priceless!
I love our friends who are our family.
My dad moved to Garnet Hill which is close to me.  I get to run over there anytime time and I just love that and him

Asher turned 3 this year and so thankful he was here in the states so we could celebrate with him!
A ladies man already.
Thanksgiving in Houston.  Always a feast and great company.
Father daughter love for sure.  Nothing more joyful.
Julie and KW had an event to go to Friday night.  I know for a fact they were in their shorts and didn't look like this 30 minutes ago.  How do you do that?
She's going out and I'm staying on the sofa.
My dad turned 91.  We had a little celebration for him with several of the great grand kids around.
A new addition to the family.  Spencer Bruce Denton.
All time favorite time of the year, Liz's Beaujolais dinner party. Gets us ready for the holidays.
I just love this video of Logan.

Happy New Year 2016!

The last few years we have had the joy of being entertained by Anna and Bailey and soon Spencer.  Oh my!
Pawpaw/Grandpa and I get our game on early in preparation for the evening.  All this means is having plenty of options of things to do.
Anna arrived in her new "outfit" with jewelry and fingernails polish.  What else would you expect.
Anna and Bailey were here for 2 minutes before they had Pawpaw on the floor playing Princess Candy Land.
Party favors are out and we are ready to get the night started.
It was a little more difficult than I anticipated getting everyone all decked out.

 I think we are ready!
John and Susan are such dear friends.  The  last couple of years they have joined us to bring in the new year.  I'm not so sure John signed up for this activity but he is a great sport!

Susan brings her creativity and builds ginger bread houses with Anna.  I buy....they build!
Wishing you a very Healthy, Happy, Joyful 2016!

More & More of Christmas 2015

With all the pictures from our phones, other cameras, etc.  I keep finding more memorable pictures of Christmas!

Enjoy!!  The New Year is around the corner.

I can't wait to hear what this sweet boy has to say one day.  With his two sisters.....
We found some Legos from 1998 in a garage sale.  Pierce can put these together faster than I can get them out of the closet.  This one is exceptional because after you build it...you can play with it.
Our dear friend Jerry hung out in the barn while Kathy was taking our family photo.  On this day in Texas it was very warm.  We had the AC on inside while he was waiting in the heat.
Pierce got a gun for Christmas.  I wonder what is going on in his mind.
Every new Denton baby has a new "Aggie" outfit.
Asher is such a "people person".  His sweet spirit just wins our hearts and those around him.
Chris and Melissa were winding down their time with us.  I was getting teary eyed.
What do you say other than....So Anna
How life changes with kids.
