Memorial Weekend

I can't believe it's mid July and I'm just now getting around to blogging about Memorial Day weekend.  We had the joy of having Betty Merrill, Hal's sister, come visit us.  We didn't make this trip quiet as crazy as we have in the past.  Julie came up and we had a little fun day over at Keith & Elysse's with the girls.
I bought a Slip N Slid for some fun.  I remember having one of these and my girlfriend Angie and I would play on it all day long.  This one wasn't very slippery.  Need to work on that.
The next day we went over to K&E's.  Keith cook us a delicious dinner.  We swam and swam and swam.
Betty Merrill just hanging out and enjoying the family fun.
GP, Elysse and the girls were the brave ones.
And here comes the rain and thunder.
The smart ones.  Dry with beverages.
And the rain just keeps coming.
Lost the bottoms to the swim suite.
 One tired little girl.
We had a Caddy Shack moment.  Elysse is directing where to scoop.  Keith has the scoop in hand.
A full day of fun and swim.  A little ice cream and I see bed in here future.
 Night night.  Great day/evening.

Shower for Stephanie and Jeff

Just one of the many things I love about our Small Group is that we share our kids lives with each other.  It's one of our common joys in life....our kids and grand kids.

Kevin and Margaret's daughter Stephanie and her finance were married June 7th.  We had the joy of having them join one of our Small Group nights and just hang out with us.  They are such a cute couple and we wish them the very best in their journey of life together.
I'm sure Jerry is giving Jeff some good advice.

The evening was just lovely and we could sit outside.
 Babe just a grilling.
 The girls.

Poor Jerry.  He just drove in from Mo Ranch.  Can you tell he was a little tired?
I let Margaret have my camera and she took pictures of food and drinks.

And she thought everything was awesome!

 Love my BFF's.
 They look like sisters.

So sweet when you catch that look of "I Love You"

I love Margaret.  She is the most real person I know.

Jeff trying to figure out what to do with some of the gifts they received.
Prayers for a very happy life together.
