Granny Camp 2013

It's been so long since I've blogged that it's a little overwhelming as to "where to begin".  So looking back through my files I found this year's Granny Camp.  Because of our short time with the Asian family this year's Granny Camp included Camille and Asher.  Anna wasn't in town so she couldn't join us.  Soon we will have them all together.

Our theme this year was nature.  Because of our new home labeled "The Farm" we thought farm animals and nature would work well.  The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary was the perfect place for us.  We got our hats and ready to go.

Again, this place was just perfect.  It was close to home.  Trees covered the paths.  It was nice and quite and not crowded.  Perfect!

Pierce is very smart.  He was telling us about the Ammonites.  GP and I weren't too sure about the information he was giving us....but sure enough it was all true.
There are several trails you can take.  We chose the Hoot Owl Trail.
Pierce is a great reader and loves to read.  So he would give us the scoop of what we were seeing.

 Love this sweet picture.
There are some really big and old trees in this park.  Can't you just imagine climbing this tree?
This was a little misleading....Animals of the World.  It's more like 4 animals.
But we stopped and saw them all.

It took some coaxing to get this picture but I sure love it.
We took this for Julie and KW for the new "bee keeping hobby"....really???
 Look at that sweet face.
A great day at the museum.
We were hot and tired and ready for the pool when we got home and could enjoy some time with Asher and Camille.

Another successful Granny Camp!  What a joy for us.
