France 2010, Monday, 11/8

Another day on the road, sites to see and places to eat and drink!  Our first stop was Mont Saint Michel.
John and Jerry enjoying the view.

Just one of the two fireplaces in the hall.  They were enormous.
Prisoners would be placed in this wheel to raise supplies from the boats below.

Hal loves to take pictures of people taking pictures.  Here you go babe.
Stopped in Bayeau to visit the Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry.  It's a 7 meter long piece of embroidery that graphically depicts the events leading up to the Normandy conquest of England as well as the events of the invasion itself.  There was an audio tour that made it very interesting.  This church was on the way.
Left Bayeau and on to Honfleur. Checked into our rooms at Hotel du Cheval Blanc and later met in our room to discuss dinner options.  Anyone need wine?
 Looks like everyone!
Made a decision on dinner, L'Absinthe.  Very nice restaurant.  Funny how so many restaurants put us in our own private rooms.  Kathy ordered her new friend, a lobster and Harry ordered pigeon, which was "Outstanding"!
