France 2010, Thursday, 11/11

Armistice Day and very cold and rainy.  It's a French holiday and there are a lot of people out there with us today.  We arrived at Versailles with IPhone in hand w/Rick Steves tour of Versailles loaded and ready to go.  There was also a Japanese ceramic exhibit in the castle.  I was disappointed w/the exhibit.  It was so out of character in relationship to the castle.  It was very distracting.
These are the statues and chandeliers I want in my next dinning room hall.  Hal said he would get right on it.
After lunch we stopped at the D'Orsay museum.  Rick Steves tour was confusing as the museum had moved many of the art exhibits around.  Discontinued the Rick Steves tour and went on our own.
It was very nice having all our museum tickets and metro tickets paid for.  Allowed us to skip lines, etc.  Stopped by our neighborhood grocery store for wine and appetizers.  Meet in Liz and Mollie's room, yes can you believe a room in Paris was large enough for 10 people to have a party.  If you every need a hotel in Paris, check out  Hotel Relais Bosquet.
